One of the artists that I still enjoy listening and was desperately hoping would have seen he I started listening to traditional jazz when I was about 14 years old; in doing this I developed an ear for jazz, which later became my foundation as a singer/entertainer. I would go the public library and look up jazz legends such Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Cole Porter, Nate King Cole, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, and Lena Horne, the list goes on and on. I suddenly felt a strong connection with the sound and tone of this music, what the women in this era stood for. They represented class, style, and elegance; they left a blueprint for women of this century to follow.(quote from Nu soul magazine) In 2008 she releae the album CITY OF NOWHERE this how i got my first listen to this gifted young lady the album was so good IT WAS YOU being my favorite song on there having said that their isnt a real bad song and alll seem to take yo to a new place .Since then many want oto label what sort of music catogory to put her in bu in truth that isnt easy as she embodies everything ,and she does all of this in a very positive way . Other grea songs are FAIRY TAIL DREAM and LOVE THANG. This year SPECTRUM 2.0 has been or (RE-RELEASED) or released it features great songs like WELCOME TO FUNKYLON,BLUE FOR BLUE (a killer killer song) GLITCH which is another wonderful tune and the above mentioned IT WAS YOU.
