One of the year’s possibly underrated stars has to be CHRISETTE MICHELLE (Chrisette Michele Payne Born December 8th 1982) she`s a singer and one great songwriter I spent a recent night shift just listening to her recent album EPIPHANY  and the more  I listened the more I was getting into  her vibe. She knows how to structure her songs and lyrically I find her charming and very thoughtful as to how she gets the point across yet at the same time blowing your socks off vocally she has that ESTHER PHILLIPS SAR

AH VAUGHN influence in her style that can be easily recognised and it’s great to hear, it takes you back to all sorts of eras the 50,s 60,s 70,s and more .She has found a style and vibe that is all her own and should be given credit for  this  I get the feeling that compared to the likes of  AMERIE  who is also signed to the same label ISLAND  DEF JAM she is sometimes  missed  when it comes to the European market. She has just released a new song featuring NEYO and for me is the killer song on the new set WHAT YOU DO. CHRISETTE MICHELLE featured on many HIP HOP albums from THE GAME to JAY –Zs and KANYE WEST before being signed to DEF JAM and releasing the album I AM in 2007 it featured songs BEST OF ME and BE OK and the killer song IF I HAVE MY WAY. I hope the new song gets her the recognition I feel this talented lady has  what  you get with CHRISETTE MICHELLE song is what I like to call ROMANCE yep that dirty word that I should be sued for  even mentioning it we seemed have skip that and gone straight to the bed room or divorce courts in many songs  you hear and its stating to sound old unless artist come up with new ways of saying things to make the songs and music timeless this young lady is in my mind, is surely on the way to doing this I would to here a little more JAZZ or BLUES on the next set  .
