Darrius willrich was a name that I had heard of readily until a friend sent me an mps of the single CANT GET ENOUGH I was hooked and wanted since then through his web page I have had the pleasure of listen to the mans sweet groove and sweet yet tough is how I would describe his music yes there is the obvious STEVIE WONDER link, yet Darrius has managed to stamp his own thing in there which is a mixture of lots of others things HOLD ON TO YOU is the killer track followed closely by ALL THAT WANT this song hits like BAM! And you have to move to not is what I would say a real shame. Other stand out songs are PROMISE ME LOVE this is a stunningly well delivere song.Also the opening song ALL THAT I WANT . even when the tempo is slowed down DARRIUS still mangaes to pull out all the stops for example the song ALL THE WAY SLOW Darrius manages to mix soul and jazz plus other little sounds into the mix and keeps you wandering what the next song will be like . Still the comparison to stevie will be there and many wont be able to get past that in there vain attempt to write this man off but mark my words this brotha is going places.Darrius Willrich brings the contribution of urban soul to his sound, his songs and his playing. A singer and songwriter with a solid foundation on the keyboards, Darrius writes and performs music that molds and fuses together the genres of jazz, hip hop, soul, electronica and R&B to create a harmonious sound that is hook heavy and easily memorable. I found it hard to find any fault with tis man every song is plus and i dare anyone after listening to think opposite .

Paul Bennett of Dishevelled Magazine calls Darrius one of the best “Soul Singer/ Songwriters around.” “His songs ooze sexuality without trying to sound sexy…..It should be required listening before every hook-up” says Bennett.

A composer, arranger, collaborator, session player and performer; Darrius hears the music around him with a wider spectrum and a greater ear. Mixing his natural abilities with a bachelor’s degree in Jazz piano and deriving inspiration from such influences as Stevie Wonder and Prince, Darrius is able to showcase his musical and technical abilities at the highest echelon.

A cornerstone of Seattle's live music scene, Darrius collaborates regularly with a number of Seattle’s top Artists including Soul Provider, Choklate, Donyea Goodman, Vitamin D, Jake One and Bean One. He also co-writes with producer Brent Laurence on house beats for the UK club scene, and to date, has composed scores for four feature films.

After years of honing his craft as a supporting musician, and the development of his sound, his style and his approach, Darrius is ready to take center stage.
