 I can still remember purchasing DEBORAH COX (born July 13, 1974) first album SENTIMENTAL 1995, Back then she was being heralded as a replacement or should I say contender for the WHITNEY HOUSTON crown. What is true about this lady is that she has always performed at the highest quality yet for some reason since then I didn’t buy any of her releases. For me I felt the material was not always matching the performance she would deliver. This was a singer that had earned her stripes singing backup vocals for the like of CELINE DION and on commercials. She has been steadily releasing material since her first outings with very good success her biggest being NOBODY SUPPOSE TO BE HERE single FROM HER one whish 1998 set .DEBORAH COX is now back and judging from the first single this could prove to be one of her best to date which she so deserves. I have to admit Ive  just been reminded of the tribute to DINAH WASHINGTON of which I did buy ( so many cds so little time).DID YOU EVER LOVE ME is my favourite song but don’t for one thing think this is just another DEBORAH COX outing other track include WHER DO WE GO simple great THE PROMISE allows DEBORAH COX to shine BEAUTIFUL YOUR R is a thumping song hat has some 80,s elements within yet is so bang up to date ,and yet has such a positive message that we don’t allow anything & anybody to dictate who or what we are. LOVE IS NOT MADE IN WORDS is my second killer song on this set I just keep listening to it wonderful little gem of a song .YOU KNOW WHER MY HEART is the third killer song on this album and by now I am having trouble convincing myself which is the better song yet I am convince of my choices .Simply put there isn’t a bad song on the entire album and each producer allows DEBORAH to cut loose a little allow us t see why she has been around for so long .Working with like s of JOHN LEGEND and JIMMY JAM TERRY LEWIS ,THE AVILA BROTHERSAND JAMES “BIG JIM” WRIGHT. Should put DEBORH COX where she should be right there at the top all over the world she deserves it. Anyone as positive as she is should be in the light. Oh and by the way she is to give birth to her third child in february 2009
