Dragon ball z is finally going to come to a cinema near you.I still kick myself that they have finally done this movie, all the filming has been done and the finishing touches are being added ,although rumours have been rife that execs didn’t like the movie and where going to scrap this movie. I doubt this to be true, but with such a strong fan base they cannot afford to mess up here ,get it right and this could be huge. [Based on] The King Piccolo Saga [Dragonball], also known as the Piccolo Daimaoh Saga (Demon Lord Piccolo Saga) is the penultimate saga from the anime Dragon Ball. It occurs after the Tien Shinhan Saga and precedes the Piccolo Junior Saga. It includes the battles between Goku and King Piccolo's sons, Goku's first encounter with the Samurai warrior, Yajirobe, Goku's quest to find the Holy Water, his final battle with young King Piccolo, and the birth of Piccolo Junior

Justin chatwin in an interview with MTV reveled that they have already written a follow on to the unreleased movie speaking he said “I know they’ve written a second one and it’s pretty far out there,” also commenting on the sequel he said "The second one really goes to some different places that I’ve never seen in any comic book adaptation,” saying this he did say he hadnt read the said script James Marsters said talking about any sequel "We’re going to get to ‘Dragonball Z’ later,” said Marsters, “where Piccolo becomes youthful and he’s going to become the Piccolo that most people recognize.” click here to read |
Well what did you think of the movie ,me i guess i hoped it would have done better but seeing the money it made told me on the whole a lot of people found the movie disappointing.The plot was little boring it seemed to appear not set in reality like other successful hero movies of which this should have the buildup and the ending was a little boring the fight scene ended to soon yet there,were times i did enjoy it.FOX as usual didnt get the point so its back to the drawing board or never make another one,i hope they learn the lessons here .They took a great franchise and got the whole thing wrong ,but having said that i did enjoy the movie.

In a interview james marsters had this to say abou the movie goku and what it means to be a man. Definitely the story of this movie is different from the original. But it’s a necessary change because we need to condense the long story of the original for a movie. For example, some characters in the original don’t appear in the movie. And we try to give it a more gritty and graphic (realistic) feeling. Though there are differences between the two, I think it is all right if the core part of Dragonball remains. I let my son watch the anime’s Dragonball, DBZ and DBGT since he was eight years old. At first, I thought it was too violent, but I realized this is the best show for training to become a true man. True men need not to flaunt themselves. Their calm, gentle and modest but when it comes to the crunch they don’t hesitate to kill the enemy, and I think that’s what Goku is.Goku is a real man. I know my son received such a message and applied it to his own life. My son doesn’t use violence to others, but he isn’t afraid of his own anger. I think it’s an important thing.
