Things are begining to move ahead on the thor movie front  yet the plot has not been fourth coming ,i guess we can only look to the comics as to how this will play out .One thing is for sure the events will end up with the thunder god here on earth, and so it has to be.My one fear is that Kenneth Branagh may get to bogged down in the origin that we dont get the well balanced action most of us will want to see.Yet if played right there could be much to get at and we could get the THOR that the public deserves to see on the big screen.May be a glimpse at the HULK and the WOLVERINE,IRON MAN movies may help .Most have tackled some of the events by showing theses in quick format durin the intro of each movie and this has worked well to help develop and fill in the gaps of certain aspects rather than a long and drawn out introduction as was the slight mistake in the first HULK movie ( i did however like the screen layout it was rather pioneeering at the time) however the public may struggle with this if there is no link between earth and  the norse realm  through out the movie then some how down through time .Will there be a donald blake? rumor has it there will.The action scenes need to be well thought out  and new as we dont want fans thinking they have seen it all befor we want to really hate LOKI and feel sorry for the son of ODIN  by the end of the movie yet who will approach him to join the THE MIGHTY AVENGERS?  will we again see TONY STARK or even IRON MAN himself .Any ways i`m looking 

  forward to this and with the CLASH OF THE TITANS MOVIE being film both should be rather interesting to see.Doctor Donald Blake has another side, that of the Norse God of Thunder Thor, punished by his father Odin and sent to live on Earth as a human with no recollection of his Godliness. Whenever Blake holds Thor's mythical hammer Mjöllnir he transforms into the muscular, blonde God. Through his travels, he battles his evil Brother Loki, Norse God of Mischief and feels compelled to protect the world he now inhabits, as a God among Men.So why did he want to direct a high profile comic book movie? "To work on a story about one of the immortals, Gods, extraordinary beings, inter-dimensional creatures," he told MTV. "There's science fiction and science fact and fantasy all woven into one. It's based on Norse legends which Marvel sort of raided in a brilliant way." And for those, like me, who are skeptical about the scale of the project and Branagh being able to handle it, he emphasizes that, "it's a chance to tell a big story on a big scale. It's a human story right in the center of a big epic scenario." Sounds like he at least understands the monumental task that he is taking on. New announcement have come in that NATALIE PORTMAN NATALIE may take on  nurse FOSTER.Jamie Alexander will play the role as lady sif.

more further news  its seems BRIAN BLESSED  whom i thought would play ODIN will not be playing ODIN, THORS father  that role has gone to none other than ANTHONY HOPKINS a premiere actor and i good choice yet i had preferred BRIAN BLESSED  the role.

As you can see from the picture above more asting news regards the hor movie Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg, longtime friends and fellow Asgardians who usually work together as a team known as the Warriors Three, are Thor’s allies and companions.Fandral will be played by Stuart Townsendscrub that hes gone and Joshua Dallas is in oh stuart what a tangle web you keep producing your loss mate. The job of Hogun goes to Tadanobu Asano. And Volstagg will be portrayed Ray Stevenson. Also more greta new IDRIS ELBA another fine british actor is to take on the role of HEIMDALL ,boy things are looking better people lets hope

 theirs a teaser for this  early next year although i doubt this until the laste summer for somthing  to be shown.Heimdall was the brother of the warrior Sif. For ages, he stood as the guardian of Asgard's Rainbow Bridge, defending the city's gates from any intruders, and was one of the most trusted servants of Odin. It seems thecast keeps getting bigger rumor has that RENE RUSSO will play THORS mother FRIGGA in the movie,thats it i`m officially on board here with this lineup it has to be  good ,yet we have heard it all before ,sorry i cant help it  the excitement is building.Just remember kenny lenghthen the action when action is required. Heres a thought will thor actually fly (like superman) does he wear the helmet  and does loki get his helmet also do we get to see the hammer fly back to him after he has unleashed it on an opponent.

Ages ago, Odin, lord of the gods of Asgard, desired a child of both Asgard and Midgard (Earth), and therefore sought out and wooed Gaea, the eldest goddess of the Earth. Gaea gave birth to Thor in a small cave in Norway, and Odin took him to be raised in Asgard by his wife, Frigga.

The young Thor grew up alongside his step-brother Loki, who was always jealous of Thor, the favored son. Thor excelled in power and popularity, and on his eighth birthday, Odin had the hammer Mjolnir created, enchanting it with powerful magic. He decreed that Mjolnir would be presented to Thor when he had been proven a worthy warrior, and Thor spent the next several years training and performing heroic deeds. Indeed, eight years later, Odin gave the hammer to Thor, declaring him to be the greatest warrior in Asgard.

Thor traveled to Earth for the first time in the Ninth Century A.D., in response to his worship among the Vikings. Thor reveled in his worship, leading many in battle and extolling the way of the warrior. Years later, a set of Vikings killed innocent inhabitants of a Christian monastery in Thor’s name. In shock and disillusion, Thor cut himself off from his worshippers and returned to Asgard. The Asgardian religion would never be as fervent, eventually dying out completely over the centuries.

Although Thor continued to perform many acts of battle and adventure, he unfortunately grew headstrong, proud, and selfish. It pained the heart of Odin. One day, Thor chased a monster into the land of the Frost Giants, a breech of protocol that nearly sparked a war in all of Asgard. Odin had to teach Thor a lesson. He created a mortal body for him, one with a lame leg, and sent Thor, stripped of his powers and memories, to Earth. Thor arrived on the campus of New York State College of Medicine as Donald Blake. Blake proved to be the humble and patient man Odin had hoped for. He eventually graduated with top honors, gained a reputation as a caring family doctor and a brilliant surgeon, and opened a private practice in New York City. His nurse, Jane Foster, was equally caring and competent, and the two began to fall in love.

This idyllic life was not to last. The alien Kronans were coming to invade. When taking a vacation in Norway, Blake stumbled onto the Kronan scouts’ spaceship and fled into a cave. (It was, unknown to him, the same cave in which Gaea had given birth to Thor.) In a secret chamber, Blake discovered a plain walking cane. Taking it with him, he tried to escape, only to find his way blocked. Frustrated and scared, he struck the boulder with the cane, transforming it into Mjolnir and himself into Thor. He fought the alien scouts, who retreated from Earth and called off their invasion. By tapping the ground with Mjolnir, he transformed back into Don Blake, holding a simple wooden cane.

Blake returned to New York, using his secret identity of Thor to fight crime, defend Earth, and contend with Loki, who, after learning of Thor’s return, felt all the old jealousy and hatred, plaguing Thor with many tricks and outright confrontation. One such trick led Thor and other heroes to fight the Hulk, after which the heroes bested Loki and decided to form the Avengers. (HEY! A GREAT PLOT FOR THE MOVIE)

The love between Thor and Foster continued for many years, made more difficult by Odin’s displeasure in the relationship between god and mortal. He forbade Blake from revealing his identity to her, creating a strange love triangle between Foster and the personas of Thor and Blake.

Although Thor maintained his Blake persona for many years, he permanently gave it up shortly after meeting Beta Ray Bill. Bill had twice proven himself worthy of the hammer of Thor, after picking it up during a battle with Thor and, later, against the forces of Surtur. Odin brought Beta Ray Bill to Asgard, giving him a similar weapon in Stormbreaker. The enchantment that transformed Thor into Blake was transferred to Stormbreaker, and Thor abandoned his Blake identity, residing in Asgard and commuting to Earth when needed. Later, in hopes of creating another identity so as to more easily remain on Earth, Thor sought help from Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.. The organization helped Thor create an identity as Sigurd Jarlson, a construction worker. In this identity, Thor simply pulled back his hair, wore glasses, and dressed like a normal human.

NEW S..chris hemsworth  is to be the THUNDER GOD  chris who ?  well you can gwet a glimpse of him in the new star trek movie he played  KIRKS FATHER and died after twelve minutes . Another announcement is that Tom Hiddleston  has been cast as LOKI in the upon coming movie tom who has worked with KENNETH BRANAGH before in "Wallander."  THOR will be penned by Mark Protosevich and Ashley Miller & Zak Stentz.
 

“This movie is as much an origin story for Loki as it is for Thor and he’s not only the hero’s nemesis but his brother. How do you deal with a situation like that where the very person who is trying to destroy you is your adopted brother? In the script, Thor is basically banished to Earth because he’s arrogant and proud and must learn what it is to live among mortals. And while the cat’s away, the mouse will play. While he’s gone, Loki starts discovering things about himself, including his desire to be all powerful. He wants to be as well loved as Thor and that jealousy starts creating these complications. “Why can’t I be the ruler? Why am I always in his shadow?” So he starts developing those feelings while Thor’s gone. It’s a very good script with pretty much half of the movie in Asgard and the other half on Earth. I think people will be pleased with the way it unfolds.”

Does this look like the face of a god to you?

 In a recent interview samuel l jackson  has said that  his character nick fury will not appear in this movies (HMMMMM) a bit strange since he is the one to bring all the avengers together,could it be that this will only happen during the AVENGERS  movie itself  will the THUNDER GOD be willing to join indeed this may explain why.As with HULK both power heroes may start out opposing one another only to the reconcile to aid the world.Who knows but it is odd ,all will be revealed i`m sure of it
