If you have been living on mars but you claim to like this music we call soul music then the name TERI TOBIN should instantly be one of those that is on your lips, when quite frankly those who don’t will ask “Teri Who” that is until they hear her music it never fails me when I play some of her music around the house or for guess and I get asked who is this. The entertainment world is full of so many artists and can be quite a minefield yet Teri Tobin stands out both vocally and in her songwriting abillity with which she pens every song in such a positive way.She appeals to many generations as i can testify right here in my own house you see not everyone here loves soulmusic but we all like her music and isnt that what real music is supppose to do.Teri tobin is an undiscovered gem that once found you can never let go of. She has worked hard at her craft and running things independently (something she has done for quite some time) you could argue she is one of the original Independent artists out. Born on Valentine’s Day, this Arizona-born soulstress, songwriter & producer had sounds of soul music flowing through her veins at an early age. Voice training in those days started at her grandmother’s church. Her professional singing career began at the age of 10 when she was chosen to sing background vocals for Jeffrey Osborne, and for the Rock Band Yes. Tobin studied classical voice at Howard University and gained stage experience performing with the school’s Chorale during President Clinton’s Inaugural Gala on the National Mall, performing background for Diana Ross, Whitley Phipps, and shared the stage with Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Shai and many others. Her credentials just speak for themselves .
